Shipping & Exchange Policy

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

As a small business specializing in limited-quantity, curated imports of delicate home decor, The J Concept operates on an Exchange-Only policy. We strive to ensure every item arrives perfectly, but if you change your mind, we are happy to arrange an exchange. We do not offer cash refunds.

1. Exchange Eligibility Window

  • We accept requests for exchange or store credit for eligible items within 7 calendar days of your order delivery date.
  • To be eligible for an exchange, your item must be unused, undamaged, and in the exact same condition that you received it, with all original protective packaging intact.

2. Non-Exchangeable Items

Due to the nature of our curated home goods, the following items are exempt from exchange:

  • Items explicitly marked as “Final Sale” or clearance.
  • Used kitchen accessories or used cups (for sanitary reasons).
  • Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

3. Damages During Transit

We take extreme care in packaging your lamps and vases. In the rare event your item arrives damaged:

  • You must notify us within 24 hours of delivery via email at info@thejconcept.com with your order number and clear photos of the damage to the item and the shipping box.
  • We will arrange for a prompt replacement or issue full store credit, including any original shipping fees.

Exchange Processing and Store Credit

Once your returned item is received, it will be thoroughly inspected by our team to ensure it meets the eligibility criteria (unused, in original packaging).

If Rejected: We will notify you via email if your exchange is rejected (e.g., the item was used or damaged by the customer). In this case, the item will be sent back to you at your expense.

If Approved: We will notify you via email that your exchange has been approved. A Store Credit code equivalent to the full original purchase price (excluding any original shipping fees) will be processed and sent to you within 5 business days of inspection. This credit can be used immediately for any item in The J Concept collection.

Delayed or Missing Store Credit

As we process Store Credit codes manually upon inspection, please allow 5 business days from the date we confirmed your exchange approval for the code to arrive in your inbox.

If you have not received your Store Credit code after 5 business days and have checked your spam/junk folder:

Contact us immediately at info@thejconcept.com with your original order number and approval date. We will investigate the delay and reissue the code promptly.

Sale items

Only regularly priced items are eligible for exchange or store credit. All items purchased on sale, clearance, or promotion are considered Final Sale and are not eligible for exchange or store credit

Exchanges

If you are eligible for an exchange (due to change of mind) or require a replacement (due to damage in transit), please do not ship the item yourself.

To initiate the exchange process:

  1. Send an email to info@thejconcept.com within the 7-day eligibility window.
  2. Include your Order Number in the subject line.
  3. Describe the reason for the exchange (Change of Mind or Damage). If damaged, attach clear photographs of the damage to the item and the packaging.

Once approved, we will arrange for our local courier partner to collect the item from your address. After inspection, we will issue your Store Credit or process your replacement shipment.

Gifts

The J Concept handles gift exchanges exclusively through Store Credit, ensuring transparency for the original purchaser and convenience for the recipient.

  1. Item shipped directly to recipient (Marked as Gift): You will receive a Store Credit code for the value of the exchangeable item. The credit will be issued to the recipient’s email address once the returned item is received and approved.
  2. Item shipped to the gift giver: We will notify the original purchaser (the gift giver) of the exchange and issue the Store Credit code to their email address. They will then be able to provide the credit to you.

Shipping returns

Return Shipping Responsibility:

  1. For Change of Mind: The customer is responsible for covering the cost of courier collection for change-of-mind exchanges. The associated fee will be deducted from the final Store Credit amount issued.
  2. For Damaged Goods: If the item is confirmed to be defective or damaged in transit, The J Concept will cover the full cost of courier collection and replacement shipping.

Packaging Responsibility: You are responsible for securely packaging the item to ensure safe return. Due to the delicate nature of home decor, we strongly recommend using the original protective packaging. We cannot issue store credit for items damaged during the return transit due to insufficient packaging.

Tracking: As we manage courier pickup, we will provide you with the necessary tracking details once the collection is arranged
